In addition to these special events on the schedule, we will have ongoing exhibits/displays.

  • Display of photos and items showing how the Railroad ran through Hillsboro
  • Kemp Museum will be open plus the Mac Truck Display
  • Exhibit of Plants used for food/medicine/dye by Abenaki and early colonists.
  • Abenaki basket making, Abenaki food project, and a model of an Abenaki birchbark canoe
  • Franklin Pierce Barbeque Oven (used during celebration of his becoming US President)
  • Trail guides, Maps, and a 3D model of the Contoocook River from Rindge to Hillsboro
  • Display of the Mills across the river from the park
  • Silent Auction with items such as:
    • Abenaki basket made by the 6th graders with Sherry Gould
    • New fishing pole donated by Morse sporting Goods
    • New 6×9 rug donated by Eaton’s Furniture
    • Railroad pictures donated by Dale Russell
    • Tee shirts, magnets, books for sale on topics related to Contoocook River and Kemp Park area
